I am a third year PhD student in the Department of Music. My practice-based research is on composing for the intercultural orchestra. During my time at Durham, I have created new works for the Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra, BC Chinese Music Ensemble, Allegra Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Bios (Florence, Italy), and the Orchestra Métropolitain de Montréal. My current project is a new koto concerto for Miyama McQueen-Tokita and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, to be premiered on March 10-12, 2023.
