@thedurhamstudent The collegiate system at Durham I think makes freshers week extra special for incoming students at all colleges. ⭐️ You have a chance to get to meet everyone and build connections within your college and with new friends over the entire week. With the support of current students also referred to as ‘FREPS’ (freshers representatives) who volunteer to help run freshers week and make it a fun, inclusive and pivotal moment in your time here at Durham. 🎉 Freps spend a week undergoing training and ‘prep week’ where preparations for freshers week takes place, packing freshers packs, painting banners and organising things for the start of term.
